I was playing my game, and I notice that all hostile mobs just run at you. They should make a mob that is actually pretty smart, and knows when to stay hidden. It, too, burns in the sunlight, so it can only 'stalk' you at night. When it gets to you, it starts hurting you. If you look in its direction, though, it'll run away and hide. It would be as tall as any other two-legged mob, and a dark-greenish purplish. It'll drop iron ingots. It can find ways into your house, although it can not fly. It would be able to break glass blocks if it sees you inside. It would only spawn on the hard difficulty, because nobody's going to want to be like "Hey, I'm on easy. Good luck getting inside when I go to sleep monsters!" *tries going to sleep, and is woken up by smart mob* "AHHHH! DIE DIE DIE! Phew..." *goes back to sleep, another one is there* "OMG."
It could be called the stalker, and is just as easy to kill as a zombie. Diamonds don't effect it, so if you think you're invincible with a diamond sword, think again :wink.gif:
I have looked for this on google and the forum, and have not found anything.
It's a very good idea, but it needs some work. First of all, could you give us a more complete description of what it would look like?
Making it be able to break glass is an original idea, but I'm not sure I want a smart AI and the ability to break blocks in the same mob. I suggest you leave the block breaking to a different new mob.
I also suggest that the mob make no sounds. Otherwise, people would hear it coming, take a look around, and it would run away.
Why would it drop iron ingots? I think it should drop something else, but I'm not sure what.
And why would diamond not affect it? That's just unneeded and it doesn't make any sense.
I would just leave it as a mob with a better AI than the others, and that follows you, and will search for ways to get in your house instead of just waiting at the door like a good little monster.
Well, iron can effect the monster. That's why it would drop iron. And diamond swords are pretty much "HA YAH HA HO" and they're dead, without a scratch on yourself. If you pile up on diamond swords, then you're pretty much not gonna die by mobs. So there should be a mob that ISN'T affected by diamonds... and it would look like a zombie, just dark-greenish purplish.

There is a very good reason that diamond equipment is so good. Diamonds are hard to find, and you need steel or better to mine them. You can't "pile up" on diamond swords because you would need to spend a lot of time mining. Making a mob that is immune to diamond swords would just undermine diamonds' power. If you are playing with mods that give you infinite diamonds, then that's you problem and you shouldn't project your problems on those players that play it the way it was made.
