(Ok, maybe we shouldnt have it climbing ceilings. Looking back to that idea... Eh.)
Now, most of you know about slime boots, how they fling you up into the air.
This doesnt actually make sense at all, since if slime boots were bouncy, then slimes would be able to jump MUCH higher than their usual jump.
They are sticky. How do they move? I dont know, how come you cant break bedrock?
So, onto the idea!

= Slime Balls.
This would make Slime Gloves!
Use:
Slime Gloves would allow you to climb on walls and ceilings. *COUGH* ADVENTURE MAPS *COUGH*.
Why would this be useful?
Well, lets say your making a huge project. Since your a pro, your doing it LEGIT. Without fly mods, anyways.
Anyways, you realize that flag is off center. DO'H! Looks like your going to have to pillar up there and make your building look ridiculous, right? WRONG! This is a dwarven structure, and you came across a lot of slimes in the last 2 days. After equipping your slime gloves, you climb up the smoothstone wall. Your almost to the top, but your slime gloves lost durability! You probably shouldnt have spent the last half of its durability climbing caves upside down and escaping the creepers, eh? Well, luckily, you have backups! Quickly taking those, you climb back to the roof. You take down the flag pole, and move it 2 blocks to the left. Mission accomplished!

Slime gloves will allow you to climb walls and ceilings. How Notch is going to animate those, I have no idea. Back to the point though...
Regular slime blocks have a durability of 64. This means you can climb 64 blocks with those slime gloves. If you want more durability, though, you can do this:
Where is slime and are iron/diamond boots (Slimeballs absorb and soften the metal/diamond, making it easier to move around in).
If you use iron boots, its durability will become 100. If you use diamond, its durability will become 250.
Combat
Slime gloves are sticky, remember? Well, you can use it to attack mobs. For passive or friendly mobs, you will be able to carry them around by right clicking it, and throw them 3 blocks away by right clicking again. This would make for a hilarious mini-game/ challenging adventure map room. If you grab a hostile mob though, it will stay put for three seconds. If you hold it for four or more seconds, it will attack you, doing double damage and double knockback. If you hold a creeper, however...
Your dead.

Remember: You're a beta tester. You're supposed to test, not expect the best.
Really, I'd rather have climbable ropes and grappling hooks for this purpose.
And I just don't like the climbing on ceilings part...I'd say it's because "we aren't Spiderman" but even spiders in Minecraft can't climb on ceilings.
