I feel minecraft has no edge of danger to it anymore
here's my suggestions
lets get down to business, shall we?
general mobs
-more mobs spawn closer to the player, then it slowly decreases farther away
-anything made by you, will cause more mobs to spawn
-mobs can detect you from a larger range
-mobs will not make any sounds unless within around 10 blocks of the player (not including creepers)
-mobs on fire will ignite nearby flammable objects, but unlike normal fire, their fire will die out quicker
-mobs will pick up any items you have dropped, or are lying around, and will drop them when killed
-wool, sandstone, mossy cobblestone, glass, bookcases, ore blocks, and any other useless blocks will attract more mobs
-more mobs spawn will spawn in caves
zombie
-increase the zombies speed, so it's faster then the player
-zombies can break blocks, and will be shown as the hitting animation
-zombies can climb to high walls
skeleton
-the skeleton will shoot arrows faster
-the skeleton will have a much larger detection range than other mobs, and will shoot you even from a distance
creeper
-explosion radius increased
-damage slightly decreased ~1 heart or so
-can explode at a distance of 2 blocks instead of one
-creepers will linger near anything made blocks made by you (not including grown trees or extremely small changes ie. a random block placed, or broken)
-during day creepers will have larger explosions, and do more damage
spider
-will be faster than player (1.5 times as fast)
-spider jockeys more common
-spiders will have a 1/5 chance of when hitting you, wrapping you in string, causing immobility for 3 seconds, you are still able to break blocks or attack when immobile
-spiders will remain hostile even during the day
ghast
-3 more hearts of health
-tends to keep a distance far away enough not to be hit by arrows
-explosives do 1.5 more hearts
-will not make pain sound effects when on fire or in lava
zombie pigmen
-bowed pigmen (skeleton properties, still passive though only will attack when attacked)
-pigmen will attack you if you get within 2 blocks of them, will not anger other pigmen, just the one within range
-pigmen on fire will stay on fire for the same amount of time you will, but they will not die or take damage
-pigmen on fire will light you on fire when adjacent to you or attacking you
health/ damage
-harder difficulties make food heal you less
-you will stay on fire longer if fallen into lava
-TNT blocks do more damage to player(s) than mobs
miscellaneous
-string can be thrown at enemies to make them immobile, and they cannot move for 3 seconds
-(if rain is added,) torches will break if exposed to rain
-dark areas at night, and in caves, become pitch black
-coal spawns deeper underground, below Y 40, rarely will spawn above
-smelting wooden blocks to get charcoal requires more energy inputs
