Cooked Porkchop sandwich 5 hearts per use, 15 hearts total heal (3 uses).

Grilled Fish sandwich 3 hearts per heal, 12 hearts total heal (4 uses).
Thought I'd add to the Sandwich Ideas already floating around. Couldn't find a fish sandwich suggestion but you know it's important to have a balanced diet. Also decided to change up the healing rates per use just for varieties sake. The only reason there is both grilled fish and cooked pork chops is for variety really so building on that seemed like a good idea.
Might be a bit OP considering all of these items are available straight up but you obviously still need to make the bread first which should mean you have built a farm and this at least drives you to build a fishing line a little more as well perhaps.
Unfortunately I find the ideas, while good, a little too much in the food craft section. I am simply offering a small addition to the core game that would be quite easy to implement, understand and utilize by all parties involved.
And thank you for Patronizingly pointing out the search function.

This has been suggested before. This is why he asked that you use search.
As far as I'm aware, search is down, it's better to use google to search for your subjects.
Now, a grilled fish sandwich is a bit of newer fare.
Still, in my opinion, placing fish or cooked porkchop in a sandwich should both act to create a sandwich. Regardless of what type of meat you use, the created sandwich will be one ID and heal a set amount.
I also like the idea that sandwiches heal multiple times. This would be difficult unless it was placed as a cake is. Otherwise, just have the materials create 3 sandwiches and sandwich stackable up to 4.
My only concern is: Notch has designed food, on purpose, to not stack. Having a multi-use in-inventory item may be potentially overpowering.

Perhaps I should have just said, "Yes I searched but didn't think their ideas were simple enough so decided to make a new post."
I suppose if it does end up just being the one item being implemented such as "sandwich" not "x sandwich" that would obviously be what would happen. I'm not sure if Notch would add just one or 50 more food stuffs that could be crafted, each with their own ID and heal rate, but I think adding maybe just 2 would be nice.
That is a good idea too. But perhaps limiting the stack number like in the case with the cookie! So to rehash, the Pork sandwich would be a "3" stack when really you'd just be taking 3 bites out of it I suppose.
That was one of my major concerns as well. Perhaps a cooldown should be placed on each of the sandwiches. After all you shouldn't fight zombies with your mouth full. Maybe like 8 seconds for the fish sandwich and 12 for the pork one. I think that rate would make them give a roughly similar heal rate with the pork sandwich still bearing more hearts. But having said that I don't want to be able to stack more than one sandwich either. That would be ridiculous. IE there should be one slot for each sandwich. Most serious super hardcore miners take all the parts necessary for numerous loaves of bread anyway, as it says in the wiki you only need 4 inventory slots to be able to heal 256 hearts with minimum prep time after a battle. I guess what I'm trying to say is there are kind of ways around that whole stacking food thing as is. I would just like to be able to have some foods ready and waiting for use in my belt that do a slightly more significant heal than the cookies but not so much that they render me unkillable.
Cheers for the feed back. It's all food for thought! (sigh)

I dunno. Just thinking.
Please use the search bar. If you haven't re-enabled it, check the Suggestion rules at the top of the thread; It tells you there.
