1. Slimeball Projectiles - Since slimballs have no use whatsoever, how about you can use them as projectiles. Code it for multiplayer so when a player gets hit in the face, their screen turns a transparent green and blurs their vision.
2. Lesser Creepers - Now I don't like suggesting mobs epically hostile ones, but it's an idea and i'd like to share it with the masses. Lesser Creepers would have gray spots instead of green and instead of exploding it just melees. It won't drop anything (until I or someone else can figure out what it can drop). Lessers would make the hiss sound like a regular creeper when it gets close to the player because it thinks it is a regular creeper. It's a bad idea but it's an idea nonetheless. At least I'm not suggesting nukes.
3. Flags - Perfect for clans to mark their territory. All you'll need is three sticks in a vertical line and then wool in the upper right corner.
4. Pressure Furnace - This can be used to make idea #5. Same way you make a furnace. But, instead of cobblestone, it's smooth stone (which will give it a smooth texture instead of a cobblestone texture) and redstone will be put in the middle. Redstone is to provide pressure). Coal would be used also to provide the heat since transforming rocks involve heat and pressure.
5. Pressure-Made Bedrock - Placing a smooth stone in will create a pressure-made bedrock. The only difference with pressure-made and regular would be that you can mine it out, a minute and thirty seconds with a diamond and only diamond but can be broken with 5 TNT. It should have a slightly lighter color then regular bedrock.
6. Turning cobblestone to moss stone - I recently read a proposal for a swamp biome. So if that happens, putting cobblestone in the swamp biome should create moss stone. Just a thought.
7. Copper - The texture would be like gold ore except brown. Instead of dropping a block though, it'll drop 1 copper piece that is circular and brown. With it you can create idea # 8. Finding it would be like finding gold but will be at the same level as iron and coal.
8. Copper Wire - 6 copper piece and 3 redstone dust will make 4 copper wire. Copper pieces on top row and bottom row with the redstone dust in the middle row. It will be more efficient then redstone wire because it can send electricity 2x farther.
9. Net - Not a fishing net. Arrange the string in a X formation will produce 1 net that can be retrieved. It can be used to trap mobs (except Ghasts, Spider Jockeys, and Squid) until you right click on the net to retrieve it or until it is killed. Creepers won't be able to explode while trapped in the net.
10. Whip - Indiana Jones inspired. It be made like a fishing rod except the difference is that the lower right is a piece of leather instead of stick. Now you can whip a creeper from a safe distance. The damage is the same as a stone sword.

Perhaps it's the same idea, however the idea of using and/or making it is different.
