Okay, here is a little lesson in painting to those of you who say you should only get dye colors on the pallet:
White + Color = Lighter shade
Black + Color = Darker Shade
Red + Green = Yellow
Red + Yellow = Orange
Orange + Green = Brown
Blue + Red = Purple
Purple + Red + White = Hot pink
Wow. That is a lot of text. I would be lying if I said I read every last word of it. Honestly, it would be a lot easer to read if you didn't always type in that color. I'm not sure how to respond...
SuperLlama, this is an excellent idea! I think the art of literature could be expanded on. Say you have messengers, right? A messenger should be able to have a letter. A Letter would be crafted like this: {Paper-Red Dye} Shapeless (I forgot how to use icons). You would write in this, and then stamp it. When it is read, the stamp would break and be unable to be re-made. So, Easy way to keep messages safe. Also, I would believe books should have more pages. Put a book and a paper in the grid, you would add a page to the book. Damage would be like pages, so there could be a maximum. I think this is necessary for a good book mod. I have always wanted to copy down Lord Of The Rings onto Minecraft.
This following post is just my ideas pouring out onto a page- this seemed like an appropriate place to put them.
Ooh! I have multiple Ideas for more arts. For one, Metalcrafting. when you made weapons and armor, they would just start out as hunks of shaped metal with little space for anything (Arm, leg-holes, eye-slits, blade). To do anything to them, you would need a hammer and anvil. The Hammer recipe would Be akin to a smooth-stone pickaxe. You would add it to a slot in the anvil, and be able to hammer away. When you put in the item, you would have a 3-d Rotatable object in your view. Each pixel Could be hammered three times. Once, A small mark. Two, A deep dent. Three, a 1x1 pixel hole. (When on a helmet, metal would obscure your view like a pumkin). But, you couldnt lose too many pixels, for fear of armor loss. (Armor level) A well made sword would add more damage, and You could hammer engravings on. Possibly, You Could hammer it with a diamond hammer to allow floating parts, such as a ball floating away from your hand as a sword. To add small writing, you would use a chisel, which would basically be a flint sword. In addition to this, you could paint your items. It would be like the metalworking, but with paint. It also be able to paint on metalworked parts. You could do this to add a nice city armor, or make a frightening visage. Lastly, (on terms of Armor and weapons) you could be able to be able to add decorations. Using a hammer and a item on the grid, you could get: Iron shavings, gold leaf, and diamond/coal dust. You could then add these to 1/3 dents in the armor. You could also add diamonds and other ores whole to a 3x3 patch of 2/3 dent. Leather, string and feathers could be added for decor. Anyways, maybe (I know this is off topic, but, it would really be nice to have) Clothes could be made. out of leather/linen or something, they would have their own slots, basically just 4 slots for basic stuff, and 2 more for gloves and capes. You would then be able tto have robes, shirts, etc. Y'now, a little break from everyone wearing full diamond. As a side- note, maybe the pallete would red, blue, yellow, black, and white. Then You would have sort of mixing thing, which would drain the durability, and then paint, also draining durability.
Also - Here's an idea for you.
New instrument (Music):
Drums.
Your instruments are cool, but we need something to help keep beat. An equalizer of sorts. Go Go Drums! :biggrin.gif:

I love you too. And I don't even know who you are. Isn't the Internet wonderful?
Well, some one did a while ago, but I think they forgot.
Here is the GUI you wanted, Bosch.Ninja'd. Great! Yeah, don't worry, I won't be disappointed if id doesn't work out. It would just be cool if it did!

I love you.

Feel free to do what ever you want to it. I'm not attached to any of the specific colors or brush sizes.
Also, How about adding drums?
Leather - Leather - Leather
Plank 1 - Empty S - Plank 1
Stick 1 - Plank 1 - Stick 1
= Drum
...Would be nice, just saying.
And Symbols for it:
= Symbol
Drum + Drum = Large Drum
Symbol - Empty - Symbol
Drum - Empty - Drum
Empty - L Drum - Empty
= Drum Set
But Large Drum and Drum Set might be going a bit too far, an it would probably be best to stop at Drum and Symbol.
