I thought this as a way to make powered minecarts more useful, and mainly for a way to create 'trains'.
How about if minecarts could be connected between them with chains or any other item or method? That way, powered minecarts will be able to pull other carts, or simply creating trains if the booster tracks get implemented.
great request/dea! it would be good for going forward and backwards on the same tracks, while we're discussing mincarts i have another idea: levers you can attach to a powere mincart to change direction, forward, backward.
heres what i think crafting should be for trains (the are minecarts and the are powered miecarts)
Couldn't you just put the powered minecart in the back of the line of carts?
You can't change direction this way, and I believe having an additional powered cart on the front makes it very difficult for the one in back to push the line of carts.
I'm trying to think of how one would actually implement the linking of two carts together from a programming standpoint. Would one linked cart just accelerate towards the other if it was moving? The collision detection might get messy when the carts turned corners if it was implemented by trying to physically attach the two carts together.

Agreed on the 'pushing' cart fail of the current system. You really can only go one way without 'breaking' the powered cart, and re-placing on the other side of the carts it was pushing to go the other way. Any type of tether to connect the carts would be loved greatly.
