The Rabbit is 1 block tall and 1 block wide. It is spawned with 2 hearts of health and usually is always found alone. A Rabbit can be found in any difficulty and can jump. Rabbits are passive mobs and will not attack, even if they are provoked. If you get too close to this mob, it will run away from you, however they run a bit slower than you.
This mob is commonly found in any forest, woods, savannas, plains and taigas. You can usually find them around flowers, trees or inland of these biomes. Wolves will attack rabbits if they get close enough, whether they are neutral or tamed.
When Rabbits die, they can drop a wide variety of items. They can drop red flowers, yellow flowers or wheat seeds. Sometimes, they may not drop anything at all! Rabbits usually eat any wheat sprouts on sight, so it is advised not to let them into your home.
If a Rabbit eats your wheat sprouts when they are grown fully, they may drop as well. This mob can only eat your wheat sprouts in one life-time, so they will not eat all of your crops at once. They try to avoid water and will spawn on a light level of 9 or higher in their biomes.

if it's a vicious rabbit, yes, if it's a tame rabbit no (yes I read).
Unless it can dig under fences. or through dirt.
Make an aggressive mob the size of wolves or smaller and you're a winner, and if they add a doggy door, make it go through the doggy door. I was recently delighted when I found out that creepers can climb ladders, even without arms, so if you make a mob that makes security more relevant, and breaches more likely, then it's interesting.
This just seems mildly annoying, and not necessarily worth the trouble.
I didn't really get what you said there, but it's meant to be passive no matter what on that matter. It CANNOT dig under fences and is about the size of a chicken. <-- Just to clear some things up.
