Well, I played online and things were going pretty well, until this morning when I found that basically everything of value (including gunpowder which is useless on the server with TNT disabled) that I had was stolen.
I'm pretty sure this has been brought up before, but shouldn't there be a way to lock chests by now?
My idea for a locked chest would be that right clicking on a chest would require you to give it a password. The password would be made when you try to put the chest down (perhaps bringing up a text box asking for you to put in a password). If you want to break the chest then you would need to select an option in the chest screen to do so.
Perhaps it might work better if you could some how link a person to a chest somehow and then let others access it by using a password, but I digress.
It would also be nice if a log of some sort might be put into place that would list who and when someone accessed the chest and what was taken or put inside.
This would greatly improve online play and at least prevent a good majority of would be thieves from taking all your iron and diamond and what not.

Just hide it under your floorboards.
