This is a wild suggestion and I wouldn't be suprised if I got negative comments/reviews:
There will be a 1% chance of finding Atlantis Underwater. It would be obvious that you will see that it is Atlantis. All of the walls of the city are made of Regular stone, mossy cobblestone, or cobblestone. Once you are actually "inside" the city your air capacity increases by 10% so you can breath underwater a bit longer. There will be no mermaids or mermen due to the difficulty of creating new mobs, unless you suggest that as a chance. Inside the city there will be 1 hidden chest that will include 1 diamond tool (pick, axe, hoe, shovel, sword). That is my suggestion :smile.gif:
Forget what I said about the diamond walls -.- wasn't thinking straight...

Still, it should be something you have to build. Otherwise minecraft will be a quest to find atlantis, and the first people who find it will be bragging about being the first people who found it for months.
Also if you find it twice, you know where everything is, what the shape of the buildings, etc.
Again, atlantis should not be generated on the world map, but built by the player.

Each city will be randomly generated, kind of like a new world...
what i'm trying to say is, no city is the same.

I'm happy to have underwater ruins though.
agreed
I think atlantis should be something players have to build, not find. Oceans do need an update though, but I would prefer a nether update first.
agreed more with this
HHAHAHAHAHAHAA NO.
Ruins would be fine though.

I've been wanting to find underwater caves for aaaaages now. They do exist apparently, but are really hard to find.
Yes!
City made of diamond?
No
