now i know it has been suggested for a trading chest but my suggestion is not at all the same!
My friend had an this idea is that you can trade items with other minecraft users from your single player world to their world
so it would kinda be like i will trade you one diamond for three gold
the trading system could also have online offers so you put an offer on an online trading thing and while your not playing people browse your offer and suggest their offer to you
or you could have a offer that says specifically says what you want for your item.
i would like to know what you guys think do you want pictures?
thats not the point say you have mined all the diamonds in your mine and you are itching to mine some obsidian then you could just trade someone ho likes the offer you suggest.

Trade with who? There are no other players there. SINGLE player.
Plus, that was a terrible example. Obsidian's easy to get on your own. If you're itching to mine something, trading doesn't exactly quell that itch now, does it?
Plus, that sort of trading would require being online. Pretty sure single-player games are offline by default. Don't quote that though.

If this thread were a girlfriend, it'd do everything but anal.
good point
but what if you only want to play on single player and you have crap items
like say a wooden sword and you trade it to someone for a bow (the guy who traded the bow must be crazy)

Single-player with crappy items?
Oh, I don't know. Maybe try playing the game?

lol
its just an idea
it would be cool if i could trade stuff like chests in single player to other peoples single player world
like 64 for 32
but is it a goood idea?
I got 64 diamond blocks that I obtained with inv-edit. I'll trade them for a red-rose.
A secure trading system in multiplayer servers? Maybe
A trading system between players in single player? What's the point, if you are itching for something so bad just trade it to yourself with an inventory editor.

If there were over 10,000 individual items in minecraft, I might remove my hand from my face to support this, but with under 200 items, seriously? Your attempts at justifying yourself remind me vividly of my peers in 3rd grade.

Multiplayer. Make a server. Set up a shop.
