As many of you may think why doesn't notch just add mods to minecraft instead of build his own stuff... yea he does have to make weather and wolves and stuff like that but why not add mo's creatures or something like that to the game. Most of the people who play minecraft are completely clueless on how to install or download or even the fact that there are mods. Also most of the mods are singleplayer such as mo's creatures and cannot be added to an SMP server. Yes i know someone is working on that but please Notch add mods that have been created by players to the server. Mayby even incourage people to make brilliant mods by offering a 200$ reward to the person with the best mod and you will select that one.

Mo' creatures is garbage in my opinion. It is imbalanced, and is mostly filler animals.
Mods are Mods. They are optional. Mojang should come up with their own things, and balance them out. Things such as the betterlight mod and the improved saving are different. They don't affect gameplay in any way. Mods that affect gameplay should never be added unless they have massive support from at least 75% or more of the community.

i agree mo creatures has way too many animals that werent thought out to work alongside eachother properly
but if he just added in the birds and normal horses (no unicorns etc.) from mo creatures that would be pretty cool
i dont think anyone would complain about that as the birds dont really affect the game to much they are just nice to look at i guess, and the horses will add a better reason to use a saddle and arent overpowered
I think the fellas at Mojang could come up with a better horse anyway. Maybe it'll be a pig. But probably not.

Notch adds good mods. Don't be a tool, some mods have no place in minecraft yet are still fantastic, although they should never be added to the full game, they can still be a decent addition to those who want to play with them.
Maybe a more noob friendly way to add mods to the game would be a better idea, since not everyone likes the idea.
Take texture packs for example, maybe just add mods like that, instead of opening the .jar file. And just tick and un-tick the mods you would like to play with.

I sure hope the piston mod gets a major tweak. The mod itself didn't look all that useful and more of a gimmick
