I know that for certain things such as blocks it is possible to break them like other blocks to get the base materials from them (gold blocks, clay blocks, etc.) However what happens if a person uses more materials then they had meant to? A sign of stupidity? Sure, but this game should accomodate these people by giving them the ability to "deconstruct" certain things to get certain materials back (rails could give parts of iron and the stick) so that they can correct such errors without having to preform mad hunts to get more materials that they just used. The only issue I see with this is tools. Some people would think to use a tool until it was low on health and then break it down and remake it. This can be easily fixed by making it so that if it is used even once you won't get back all of the materials for it (usually using up the non stick material) and the lower the health the less you get from it.
It's not like its hard to find iron, that stuff is everywhere.
And many things you cant break down:
-Watches
-Compasses
-Wood Tools
-Stone Tools
-Cookies
-Bread
-Furnaces
-Doors
-Stairs
-Half-Blocks
-Boats
-Minecarts
-TNT
-Paintings
-Mushroom Soup
-Armour
then i guess i just suck at mining. XD
and i was actually about to post a topic like this.
