I think shadows would would make the game look great. I know it gets darker when you go under trees, but I want visible shadows on the ground. I was thinking about building a room that was lit up by the rising sun at a certain time of day, but then I remembered that wouldn't work :/
I think that any astronomical feature would be pretty cool though, like solstices and actual years where the days get longer and shorter.
Is there a mod for things like this?

a dev who's made half a game that's still full of bugs that I just happen to be having fun with now?
You'd have to light up like absolutely everything because suddenly those extra dark shadows that you put torches in to prevent mob spawns would now be moving all over the place throughout the day.

I'm almost 100% positive that this have been suggested before but i'll suggest it again anyways
Maybe in an optional setting, like the current smooth lighting system we have now. I like the idea, but it'd eat lesser computers alive if made mandatory.

First thing I'd do is make a sundial
I know that there's a dynamic light mod somewhere though.
(gotta love throwing torches down large chasms so you can pretend that you have flares)
