It's almost 2026, and these are still nowhere in sight!?
The game already had Black stones added in 1.16, and then right behind that in 1.18, another very dark stone trio was added with deep slate. I don't mind that because I really like deep slate and I feel like it works better as a more neutral and less harsh offering (compared to Black stone which is more of a moodier counterpart), but I can't help but feel if they can add one multi-offering stone/brick type and then another, I don't see why the opposite color that is more lacking to begin with can't have the same added already.
To make it worse, I had no idea these weren't even a thing and only found out now when I tried making them.
Quartz is nice, but it feels more like a fancy stone as it lacks mass availability, lacks types, and it doesn't quite match the basic stone look either.
Diorite and calcite have various degrees of the same issue.
Where are the White stones and bricks!? Just copy deep slate; at least the smooth and brick variants, and the third can be a copy of the tiles or a new unique type I don't care, there just needs to be bricks!
I know this forum carries no voice with Mojang in 2025, but I needed to vent some mood after finding this out!
