When i venture into the deep in Minecraft, I always felt that it didn't really relate to reality. So, thats why I want under water pressure in Minecraft. Basicly, the deeper you go, the more pressure there is. The more pressure there is, the more you lose health. This may put a stop to deep sea divers in Minecraft, but it's not like you can go to the bottom of the ocean and not die in real life without proper equipment.

Tell me a single benefit that this would give to the game and you may have your constructive criticism. Until, I think this suggestion is crap.

I'm almost 100% positive that this have been suggested before but i'll suggest it again anyways
Notch said he might be implimenting a realism mode in the future.
there's a thread in my sig (sorry if this is advertising) where I suggested other realistic features.
I would also like to see underwater pressure as well however.
So if minecraft is realistic why do cows drop perfect hides
why are there zombies
why are there skeletons that shoot arrows
and why are there creepers
so think of that next time you think minecraft isnt relating to reality
and a typical natural ( generated ) ocean is only about 10 blocks deep and if 1 block is 1 meter then the depth would be 10 meters and that isnt enough to cause water pressure that can cause harm

(And came up without help fully alive and concious.)
Anyway, the unrealistically low air limit is enough to stop deep sea divers.

Sometimes they drop 2 perfect hides.
