Hello everyone, i am here to tell you guys/girls about weather in minecraft.
I think weather should be implemented to give minecraft a more natural feel... And i'm not talking about just cloudiness and wind, but i'm talking about all forms of precipitation; rain, snow, sleet, wind, etc.
I suggest that for rain, there can be either drizzle, mild, or harsh. In harsh, the rain starts to intensify, the water starts to get wavy and moves around, and you could hear the wind flowing through the trees. This will not cause flooding in anyway so relax. :tongue.gif: Also, after the rain, you can see raindrops on each patch of dirt/grass, which lasts for about a day. I'm not sure how sleet would look, but it could be a combination of snow and rain. Snow could have the same intensities as rain, but in the harsh condition, the water freezes up, and snow piles up. Snow can have two heights, either short, or tall. Short occurs in drizzle and mild, but tall can only occur in harsh. In harsh snow, you can walk through it, but very slowly. Snow can melt in 1-2 days after the storm has subsided. These events can happen at random, and can last for approx. 1-3 days max. I know it seems a bit corny, but i kinda like the idea, and it would be nice to see some weather patterns and things. I am not sure how weather could affect mobs, so help me out on that one. It could be a burden for people who want to explore and then have a random snowstorm occur, but i think weather would be a nice addition to minecraft. So, what do you guys think about the idea? Constructive criticism is always accepted. :biggrin.gif:
Sorry, i don't bother with all that complicated internet stuffs. loljk sorry, i wasn't aware of another thread that was about minecraft weather... i'm new here. o_O

Always search first.
Type "site:minecraftforum.net" into Google, followed by the search words, to search this site specifically.
And never post anything about guns, nuclear power, or obsidian weapons/tools/armor. You will be destroyed.
How the **** do you fuel a sword with coal? This is, not unlike countless other suggestions around here, stupid.
Follow the steps below for a successful thread in the Suggestions forum:
0) Search & Organization
SEARCH! If the forum search is down, use Google. Nobody likes duplicate threads. Don't make wishlists or cram a bunch of one-sentence ideas in one thread. It's lousy organization and nobody is going to read it. Limit each thread to one well-developed concept. And if the suggestion can be summed up in any less than four or five sentences, it's more than likely not worth posting.
1) Observation
Take some time off posting. Spend a few weeks surfing the Suggestions forum. Offer feedback or help with other suggestions. See what suggestions generally get bad feedback and which get good feedback, then find out why. Do this until you've memorized it.
2) Brainstorm
Then, and only then, start thinking. Think of a suggestion that can:
A) Serve aesthetic or decorative purpose.
:cool.gif: Serve a practical, useful, or otherwise gameplay-oriented purpose.
C) Is interesting or unique in its implementation while being well-balanced.
D) Is unique enough from other similar/duplicate ideas to make it worthwhile.
E) Isn't overly realistic, while still avoiding being totally ridiculous.
3) Flesh it out
Look it over. Add details. Magic ****in word. Details, details, DETAILS. Crafting recipes, effects, uses, images if you can manage them.
4) Revise and improve
Think of any possible flaws. Any you can fix, fix before posting. If any flaws are significant enough to make the concept fail, start over.
6) Make it easy to read
Punctuation, the best grammar and spelling you have, paragraphs, proper spacing. Hell, even numbered lists will do! Learn formatting.
7) Create the thread
If and ONLY IF you get past all that, post the suggestion.

Okay, thanks for the heads up. :biggrin.gif:
Also, did you know Minecraft has wolves now? Everybody and their grandma's been stuffing the forum with ideas about them. If you feel the urge to do that as well, go here first: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=259568

No problem. Here's hoping your posts will maintain quality thanks to that guide. But be warned: If you do have a truly terrible idea, and you post it without thinking through, I am not a merciful critic. :wink.gif:
