With the addition of wolves as companions, about the only thing I feel is missing from the Minecraft world is dynamic weather and seasons. I would love to "wake up" and find myself facing a rainy, over-cast day, then part-way through that day see the clouds break apart and the sun come shining down on me! Seasons as well, would be a welcome addition, instead of an area always being snow-covered. Let's have changing seasons that could affect the availability of certain resources and affect planting seasons for crops. Example: plant your wheat too late in the fall and see your crop wither away when the cold of winter sets in before you can harvest it!
Exactly Sommergirl! Love to see that others are thinking along the same lines! The Minecraft world feels so real already, which is what draws so many into it, adding to that sense of realism is only logical. I love your idea of the season that you plant something affecting what you get in the end result!
Posting this out there, but Notch is going to add weather to 1.5 Rain and snow are the only confirmed ones, but im hoping for a sandstorm in the desert biome...
