I really like music discs and that allays and parrots dance to it,but it would be nice if it had some gameplay usage istead of just astetics
This is a bad example but:if you play cat near a ghast it will pacify it and make it have a calm face maybe a little smile (a reference that a ghast is voiced by a cat)

Although music discs only have one true purpose, and that is to enable you to listen to and enjoy your favorite tracks in-game, I agree that the rarest ones could do with some subtle gameplay effects. I don't think any mechanic that would simply eliminate a danger (such as pacifying ghasts) is the best way to go as that would significantly weaken the aforementioned purpose. Instead, perhaps, playing the Cat disc could increase the spawn rates of cats in a village or slightly increase the odds of a tamed cat gifting you a phantom membrane in the morning. Or playing the Relic disc could increase the odds of obtaining rarer items like armor trims, pottery sherds and sniffer eggs from brushing suspicious sand and gravel in archeology sites.
