A way to put redstone and copper together in a crafting recipe so when you lay down redstone it’s covered in copper. If it’s hit by water it can stay in place and not be removed. It could also be like how you wax copper so you place down the redstone then lay the copper on top

They'd probably have to introduce Copper Nuggets for a recipe. 1 Redstone dust surrounded by 8 Copper Nuggets to make 2 Copper Wire. This also seems like something from a Mod to me.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on you. Fool me three times, hold up, rewind, That's not even possible.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not against something like this, it just seems like a modded feature to me since I remember seeing it in mods a long time ago. I'm generally all for adding new blocks/items if their function doesn't break anything. I'm not a redstone person and try to avoid using it as much as possible, so I don't have a full grasp on functionality of most contraptions. Like, I understand what most things are supposed to do, but how a given circuit works for some things is lost on me.

If it works using the same mechanism as waxing copper this could be cool, especially as of how common copper is.
So you would apply the copper to redstone just as would honey comb to copper and it would transform the block(redstone) to the copper lined version that functions the same and can be picked up again as the item version of the block(copper lined redstone). As you would only need to do this if you need a redstone line to be submerged or near water this would honestly be a good idea.

Using the ignore feature here is kinda weird.
Maybe it could just be a copper ingot and red stone dust. I was just bored watching a move and thought of this as a fun thing
