How so?
Are you saying that all throwable items are just rip-offs of bows?
This cant get added into the Vanilla MC.
Add this to the Range Mod or whatever it is called.
And you would lose an Diamond Axe throwing it on a mob, serious.
Arrows are consumed when they hit an enemy. They are irrecoverable.
Any item would also be consumed in a similar fashion.
Okay for the record I think it's a bad idea and should not be implemented yadda yadda
BUT IF IT WERE...
It would obviously make sense not to have it throw the whole axe when you right click, but instead to throw *an* axe which takes away from the durability of the original axe.
If you had a diamond axe (why do you have a diamond axe, again? You can take down about a whole forest with an iron one without using up a pick's worth of diamonds...) then two ways it could work would be either to do the same damage as a regular thrown axe but have a looooot of ammo, or to have it take away an even incremental amount of ammo (like, 32 shots for each axe) but have the higher grades of it do higher damage. Gold ones would, of course, do diamond damage but have only 16 throws (which would still be the most useful possible thing you could do with gold axes, and one of the most useful things you can do with gold at all.)
Anyway I'ma leave this thread now lest I give the impression that this is a good idea or should happen ever. Which it isn't, and shouldn't.

I can see myself getting really PO'd by losing a diamond axe because I accidentally right-clicked on a mob.
