What if you could actually take slimeballs from defeated slimes, and add them to wild, small slimes to make them grow and become pets, similar to how bones work on wolves?
While wolves are fast and easily injured, slimes could become very large and difficult to kill, excellent for placing in pit traps, and personal living corridors. Maybe even have them be hostile to players other than the owner, eating and collecting that player's things for its master, accessible via a chest-style GUI? Or for that matter, perhaps they could collect drops from mobs they kill, as well?
Lastly, what if you could bucket small slimes, to make them easier to transport around to places you wanted them to guard, and then feed them slimeballs to grow in size?
Basically, the slime as a positionable guard tank/vacuum cleaner for the dungeon. Ideas, opinions?
Thanks, guess this was a tad redundant. Might clarify on the already posted topics page, though--I didn't see anything under slimeball uses, or under mobs. *shrugs*
Guess I'll back out of the idea-offering department. Keep up the fine filing work.
