---Hunger(in Wttrw only)[/i] [i]People play Minecraft differently. Some want to explore, others - to build; some people chalenge themselves with playing on hard, never seeing the light of day, etc., others are playing on peaceful, invhacking if in need, and other such things. Currently, the only way to change difficulty is, well, changing difficulty in options. There isn't a lot of choise, through: with/without mobs, damage dealt by mobs can be changed only. My idea is more fluent change in difficulty, more options to choose from. You can use one of pre-made modes or make one yourself. [/i] Premade modes are: 1. Playground
Basic mode, without mobs, physics, and any danger to life at all. It's always day, so it's easy to explore and build.
Day/night circle [on]/[off] - only day
Realistic blocks physics [on]/[off] - including sand and gravel.
Tools damage [on]/[off] - tools are not breaking
Fall damage [on]/[off]
Mob spawn [on]/[off] - no hostile mob spawners
Regeneration [on]/[off] - instantly, to maximum. You die when you fall in void, only.
Mob behaviour - passive mobs don't defend themself even after attack
Mob damage - non existant.
Torches - don't burn out, provide light constantly.
Ores rarity - only diamonds and obsidian are uncommon, other ores are common. 2. Peaceful
Peaceful is a mix between original easy and peaceful. It provides at least some challenge - mobs exist.
Day/night circle [on]/[off] - day is slightly longer than night.
Realistic blocks physics [on]/[off] - only gravel and sand falls.
Tools damage [on]/[off] - tools are breaking 2 times slower than normal, diamond tools don't break at all.
Fall damage [on]/[off] - halved, and negated by water.
Mob spawn [on]/[off] - only in complete dark and in dungeons.
Regeneration [on]/[off] - half-heart per second.
Mob behaviour - mobs, even hostile, dont atack you if you are too far. Enter a 10-square radius to provocate 'em. Passive mobs don't defend themselves, through.
Mob damage - easy mode damage.
Torches - don't burn out, provide light constantly.
Ores rarity - diamonds and obsidian are rare, redstone/lapiz lupily are uncommon, other ores are common. 2. Normal
Normal is Normal. Duh.
Day/night circle [on]/[off] - day and night are equal.
Realistic blocks physics [on]/[off] - only gravel and sand falls, as in 'peaceful'.
Tools damage [on]/[off] - tool work as usual.
Fall damage [on]/[off] - negated by at-least-2 squares deep water.
Mob spawn [on]/[off] - as usual.
Regeneration [on]/[off]
Mob behaviour - hostile mobs are hostile, passive mobs are passive.
Mob damage - normal mode damage.
Torches - don't burn out, provide light constantly.
Ores rarity - coal is common, iron ore is close behind, then gold. Anything other is rare. 4. Hard
Hard is slightly harder than original hard. May even be called hardcore.
Day/night circle [on]/[off] - night is 1.5 times longer than the day.
Realistic blocks physics [on]/[off] - gravel and sand falls, as in 'peaceful'. Also, dirt less than 2 blocks high falls, too.
Tools damage [on]/[off] - tool work as usual.
Fall damage [on]/[off] - halved by at-least-2 squares deep water.
Mob spawn [on]/[off] - as usual. Spiders spawn under the trees even in daylight.
Regeneration [on]/[off]
Mob behaviour - hostile mobs are hostile and gather in packs, passive mobs are defending themselves.
Mob damage - hard mode damage.
Torches - don't burn out, change lightning level constantly by +/-2.
Ores rarity - coal is common, iron ore is uncommon. Anything other is rare. Diamonds are even rarer. 4. Welcome to the real world
You are so screwed. Blocks here fall unless suported, mobs hate your guts, and when you fall you feel it.
Day/night circle [on]/[off] - night is 2 times longer than the day.
Realistic blocks physics [on]/[off] - everything except ores, (sand)stone and dirt 2 blocks high falls, unless suported(see 'realistic blocck physics').
Tools damage [on]/[off] - uses are halved.
Fall damage [on]/[off] - halved by at-least-1/2*(fall length) squares deep water. When you fall normaly, you take double damage.
Mob spawn [on]/[off] - during the day creepers and spiders spawn too.
Regeneration [on]/[off]
Mob behaviour - hostile mobs are hostile and gather in packs, and search for you; passive mobs are defending themselves.
Mob damage - hard mode damage.
Torches - burn out after day and night and need to be lit again with , change lightning level constantly by +/-2.
Ores rarity - coal is common, iron ore is uncommon. Anything other is ve-e-ery rare. Diamonds are even rarer.
Hunger - you need to eat something each day and each nigth. Raw fish and porkchop needed to be eaten twice.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day/night circle - how day and night change.
Realistic block physics - you cant place block to other's block side, unless the block you are placing is 'supporting'.You can place blocks on supporting blocks. -supporting block can be made of wood or cobblestone. []
Tools damage - how tools are damaged with eac hit.
Fall damage - damage yo take when you fall.
Mob spawn - how do mobs spawn.
Regeneration - how you regenerate your health.
Mob behavior - the way mob act against you.
Mob damage - how much damage mobs deal to you.
Torches - how torches act.
Ores rarity - how rare you do encounter ores.
Hunger(in Wttrw only) - you need to eat. Unless you do it in stated period of time, you start losing 1 heart per minute.
Happens a lot. Just close the thread and/or post your thoughts on the custom difficulty thread. They're pretty good as far as I read, so they should be accepted without too much trolling
