Say you're building a farm, any type of farm, and you have no room under neither for a collection system. What if you could place hoppers on their side or even upside, and suck the items in that way?
This would essentially act as a vacuum, and would allow for a whole new approach to item collection. And I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to implement.

Full support but I think it needs a power source to keep it active.
