If this has already been suggested, please dont hurt me. :smile.gif:
Here are some ideas that have been rolling around in my head. Bushes and bolders would be generated similarly to flowers and trees, and would come in several varities, possible specific to biomes.
Shrubs- 1 cube high, slows movment through it by 10%, possibly dropping a bush sapling when moved through or destroyed.
Pear cactus- 1 cube high, A variant of the cactus that can have cactus fruits on any side (except the bottom of course)
[] =cactus fruit, =cactus block
Fern- center block with half block fern branches coming off the sides. The block it is growing on top of may be a moss block. =half block branch, =full block center
Juniper-Starts as cube, but expands by growing a half cube branch on one side, which will be the dominate side. Every day another half block is added, with the dominate side having the highest chance of expanding. If a side expands more than two blocks away from the base, the half block closest to the base becomes a full block. If the center block becomes fully surrounded by full blocks it gains anothe half block in heigth. Junipers also have juniper berries, which when heated give off juniper oil, which can be combined with slime balls to make monster repellant bombs. Throwing a repelant bomb at a hostile mob will create a cloud of gas that causes monsters to run in the opposite direction.

Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4
Thorn bush- A bush that grows from 1 block to 1 block X 2 blocks high. Movment through the bush is slowed by 25% and moving around or through the bush causes damage like a cactus. Walking through a thorn bush or destroying it can cause it to drop thorns which can be used as arrow heads. Thorn bushes are red to putple in color with brown thorns.
Day 1 [] Day 2
Thicket- A bush that grows from 1 block to 1 block X 2 blocks high. Movment through the bush is slowed by 80%. Walking through a thorn bush or destroying it can cause it to drop sticks. Thickets are light brown to dark brown in color with a green leafy top.
Day 1 [] Day 2
Hedge- A bush that grows from 1 block to 1 block X 2 blocks high. Movment through the bush is slowed by 10%. Walking through a thorn bush or destroying it can cause it to drop bush saplings. Hedges are nearly solid blocks of leaves that block line of sight. Monsters prefer to go around them rather than through them.
Day 1 [] Day 2
Bolders- A half block with a pattern like bedrock, but rangeing in color from from sand stone to cobble stone to solid stone. The block can sit verticle in either direction or horizontal. When the block is destroyed a possible half block of stone ( sandstone, cobblestone, solidstone) may drop.

Various bushes and shrubs have been suggested many times. As for these boulders, the very name suggests something quite large, yet you give us some sort of half-block on its side. That is very far from a boulder. The giant rock chasing after Indiana Jones? Now THAT'S a boulder.

I'm almost 100% positive that this have been suggested before but i'll suggest it again anyways
I think that a boulder would be more like 3 to 6 blocks wide and tall, and would roll down hills or move and the slightest touch, and could destroy other blocks if they gain speed.
