The keys would be destroyed after use like in Zelda but would contain more items than a regular chest.
In the code, the chest should not contain anything until unlocked so could be picked up and opened elsewhere.
They could be crafted to keep items safe from others.
alternatively a padlock could be created separately and added to chests or doors

So, what's keeping someone from just breaking the chest to get the contents?
And if your answer is "they'd be unbreakable" then what keeps someone with too many resources from literally building an indestructible castle out of them?
