I was thinking that we could add two new variants to the villager, we could add the doctor and the wizard villager. if a cleric is given a nether star, it will turn into a wizard permanently, wizards act like witches when attacked, but are neutral mobs that only attack if you attack it. also, wizards act as a mobile brewing stand and a mobile anvil in the same entity, you can do unlimited amount of anvil repairs for half the price. wizards also let you brew potions unlimited times for a blaze rod. also, doctors will spawn from one out of every 10 villagers you cure from zombification, the doctor cant change profession and can sell fermented spider eyes, water bottles, gold ingots, apples, and redstone dust for emeralds.
I'm surprised that this went without a reply for so long. This is actually an alright idea, sort of. The idea of rare professions alone is genius, but I don't know about the whole "wizard" thing, and I'm not on board for a villager that's neutral/possibly attacks back. I know the game has magic, but I don't know about the whole wizard thing. The doctor, however, feels much more plausible and balanced.
To keep up with the whole villagers-being-pacifists thing, the wizard might work being unharmed from the player, rather than being a mob that has the iron golem's attitude.
