Ruins are a new area which is generated, like Dungeons.
There are many differences between Ruins and Dungeons, however. One being that Ruins are partially above ground, annother because they contain multiple rooms. Ruins may also require alot of space meaning that the Desert, Savanna and Plains Biomes may be best suited for this.
Ruins have 2 main parts: the upper (Exposed) level and the lower (Hidden) level. There will be a staircase leading to the lower level, and at the bottom a new type of Block - a Rusted Door. The Rusted Door is like the Iron Door, but with a different texture and can only be opened with a Key or by hitting the switch located inside.
Keys can only be obtained by killing a new mob - the Skeleton Guard - or by crafting them. The Guard, like a tamed wolf, doesnt despawn and doesnt leave a certain distance of the ruins that it is guarding. Its a strong melee mob with high health, but only the damage of a Spider. To make a key you need 2 Gold (Which adds a use to Gold).

In the lower level there is a corridor connecting to 2-4 rooms. Each room should be slightly different to the last. Rooms contain either 2-3 TNT, a Chest containing low-level items (Such as damaged Swords and Armour, a handful of arrows or a Torch) or a Bed. However, there is ALWAYS a Dungeon (with a sealed roof) connected to the Ruins.
There will also be Ruins in the Nether, but these are single roomed, ruined buildings containg a Chest, a Spawner (Not Spider) and a Portal (The Portal may or may not be complete, but will never be active).

If the suggestions were better, no, it would not matter.

Curse PremiumSo you also dislike the idea itself?
System.out.err("Nope");
It's not even that I dislike this idea. It's the fact that I'm tired of seeing it.
