Settler mode is my idea for a new Multiplayer Game Mode. *MGM*
*Plot*
You have been at sea, having left your country many moons ago. You and your squad of settlers were given the task of creating a colony, and wiping out any competitors. Your supplies are low, and there was a storm in the night. You wake up, ship wrecked on the shore. You and your group take what they can from the ship and venture out, with the sun beginning to set. An arrow hits near your feet, in the distance you hear a 'sssSSSsss', and there is smoke coming from a camp some where not-all-to-far away. This new land won't be conquered without a fight.
Base Idea-
This mode would have 2-6 teams of 10-20+ players each, and begin on opposite sides of a randomly generated map, like so, with = Spawns, = Land, = water, = divider in center.
*Material rich islands randomly spawn around the 2 mass continents.*
Starting Items: Basic supplies, like fishing rods, leather, wood or stone tools, and some wood planks.
Team Play Component: You need to break your party up into people who gather materials, fend off zombies, attack the opposing team, scout out materials, farm, and so on.
Re-Spawning: Your remains, which would be a new item *much like bone meal*, would need to be buried by a team-mate and wait for sun rise. Until then, you would become a hostile NPC, and have the ability to attack the enemies settlement.
Enemy Mobs: Hostile mobs will spawn like normal, and will attack the camps at night.
Winning Condition: Kill or out live the other team.
Team Identification: To tell the teams apart, put an art work on the players skins and armors, like the colors of America, Sweden, Australia, China, and so on.
PS. I wouldn't be surprised if someone has an idea like this, but remember, its only "Like" this, they are not the same thing. My idea's are my own, and will be different. I do not, to my knowledge, have a twin. :smile.gif:
