There's a few storage blocks, like for ore and wheat, but I feel like they aren't living up to their full potential. Storage blocks could be a lot more.
For one, I suggest adding meat blocks for all the differint kinds of meat in the game. While it's a bit gross, it would be handy for storage, and could also be really cool building blocks for creative projects!
I also think there should be a seed block, to store seeds, along with a sugar and berry block.
I like how you want more storage blocks, and this will (If added) be such an amazing addition to builders! It would add so many other opportunities! One problem though is how would it be crafted?
Always been fine with blocks for storage and it benefits builders.
2x2 or 3x3 depending on what scale of worth the item may have. If mob drops like a Nether Star block or Wither Skull block then 2x2, if something like Sugar cane then I'd say 3x3.
If armour/tools and is smeltable to ingots then I'd be for that too to manage them better.
I do get sick of different variations of blocks or this and that as while it may benefit builders I find no use for them.
Everything can be used for building really but if it has no more use than decoration then I find it's a waste of an additional, it just looks nice isn't good enough it needs functionality, purpose.
It's why I play with blocks like hoppers or mods with machines then I will add mods with blocks, armour and whatever else for different textures and repeated stone/iron level values, sure it works for using materials but they aren't more beneficial then just that having more materials to craft the same as something else that already exists but with no other features like a new status effect on it or something to make it stand out and more worth it.
Same as how people would care for a flaming sword, poison one or something not just sandstone sword that does nothing but instead spawns quicksand at feet level of the mob or grants dehydration or something.
(resource packs can fill the void at than just more and more blocks over and over and just more block IDs are used up when something more useful could instead give the block/item use that actually changes the game or actually allows the player to do something. I mean would I want a command block or the texture of it. I know I'd want the functionality of the command block for sure).
But I care about interactions/inputs in any game it's what makes me care the most to play it. If I can use player move, a machine or whatever I'll take that any day than just a structure with nothing really good loot wise and mobs that may be reskins of something else just for that region. Decoration is not purpose no matter how nice it looks.
Storage I think is good enough for certain blocks you get a lot of that item for like sugar/sugar cane for example or mob drops. But otherwise for decoration no.

Well i'd think it'd be made by just putting 9 of that item into a crafting grid, then making it into a block.
Oh, makes sense.
