hey guys, i was just thinkin about some stuff i feel like notch should add into a future download and one big thing hit me: Redstone Conduits. Instead of having to create 3 block thick walls to cover up redstone they could add a new block type. crafting it would be as simple as:
or
depending upon the wall or floor you are using.
These could be programed to work like minecart tracks and snap to the closest to it but instead be omnidirectional such as pacing them directly on top of each other.
for levers they could make a block such as:
to represent the end of the circuit.
This would make redstone usage in housing and in general much much easier. The possibilities are endless!
Crafting this would give you one redstone conduit of the corresponding material used and would blend into othee like materials creating a completly hidden circuit and an overall more asthetically pleasing wall/floor/etc.
Let me know what you think!

Hmm maybe just 3 like half blocks. But i feel like if it only gave you one it would make it more interesting and encourage more mining. So if you were lazy you could do the 3 wall thick cover up, but if you mined and worked for it you could use these conduits providing a nicer end result.
Though i will admit i do take pride in cleverly concealing a complex array of redstone circuitry within my walls and floor; reality is that there are some situations where this simply is not possible and a HUGE waste of space. My statement "The Possiblities are Endless!" was merely optimism. Though seeing as how mine tracks are perfectly capable of being coded to work right i see no reason why this wouldnt and as stated above would add a luxury to strive for
Also, a viable replacement or way to use a repeater would be easy as this:
= Redstone Repeater
and could have the setting indicated by a noise like the note blocks do. Or simply a floating number. Heck even indicator lights on the side, but that would kinda usurp the whole concealed thing
