Can you add emerald tools? It would be very cool because there was emerald had no use except for beacons, villager trading, and decoration.
The emerald tools can be a strong tool ( Between diamond and netherite ).
Could you please add them?
1. Emeralds are literally cheaper than iron to get in large quantities; emerald tools would be absurdly unbalanced.
2. Unlike diamonds, emeralds are not particularly tough gemstones IRL, no lore reason to make them so strong either.
3. Currency and beacons are VERY important uses - beacons are very powerful all their own, while villagers offer mind-bogglingly wide and useful array of things to buy, most notably every diamond tool/armor type and books with the best enchantments that exist.
4. Emerald tools have been thought of long ago. And thrown into the trash can. Here is yet another - and probably more modern - rejected feedback list: https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/wiki/rejected/
And precisely about emerald equipment, timestamp at 5 minutes 11 seconds:
Dwarf gamer found:
Buildings - square, not round
Materials - from rubble mound
Dark caves - lit 'n' cleaned out
Settlements - deep underground
Farmability - to grinder bound
Shields - made creepers but sound
Axes and crossbows - taking mobs out
No, no, no, no, no. Why does everyone want emerald tools/armor? Emeralds can be traded for good diamond tools/armor with blacksmith villagers, and all emerald tools would be easily obtainable via trades. Trading is also the thing that makes emeralds unique, why add just another toolset?
Not sure why the demand for emerald gear is as high as it is -- it makes zero sense in the game. Even to complain that copper needs more uses. But these materials already have uses, and not everything has to turn into a gear set (how is that balanced? It's just vanity reasons than anything actually useful at this point).
Plus, notice how resources from ores have unique uses than being all the same -- this expands the variety of exclusive materials and encourages working with various several materials rather than just a few.
Not to mention, emerald is way too fragile to even be able to function as gear. It would likely be crappy quality, worse than gold gear. Emerald has a specific use and that's currency, which is majorly useful in itself. If you want armour, use another material. That's how MC works.
If nothing else, there are several mods for gear made of emeralds or copper or amethyst or even non-existent vanilla materials.

Officially, no one from MS/Mj reads these fora; they exist for MC players to discuss interesting ideas.
MS/Mj has an official feedback page that allows suggestions qv. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts?filter_by=all
but see https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360005029872-Previously-Considered-Suggestions before posting.
that'll run the entirety of actually using Emeralds to upgrade you
