Underwater lakes. Eh? :biggrin.gif:
In real life we have lakes underneath lakes, but the deep lakes beneath the ground are far more large than the one's viewed to the eye. Just like found dungeons, an underwater lake would be really cool with some natural light, maybe a new kind of stone like glowstone but its natural bioluminescent light. There could be interesting bioluminescent creatures also and dangerous.
- Pirannhas
- Bioluminescent eels
- glow worms
- Panellus stipticus (for the glowing rocks)
Panellus Stipticus is a glowing bioluminescent fungi and maybe that could be found on some underwater rocks and some above water down in the underwater lake. It would act how snow would, only having a layer ontop of the rock. Inside would be all smoothstone and it would have deep water. Maybe a "pirannha spawner" could be made that you had to swim down and put Jack o' lanterns or Panellus Stipiticus around it to stop it from spawning. once they don't you only have the peaceful animals left.
Glow worms produce light while in darkness. Eels are just eels. Maybe you could get "sushi" from them as a joke.
Idea for oceancraft? I think so.
Leave your suggestions :]

Once, I had a dream, An amazing city towering to the sky. With the right tools we can reach that dream. We have the power.
Underwater Lakes? What? I hope you mean UnderGROUND lakes.
I didn't get what you mean, we find lakes under lakes... Erm, no, that's just more water.
And there ARE underground lakes. Hell, I found a lake at bedrock level in this last map I made for the hell of it. It was all natural, and awesome.
As for your creatures idea, maybe. But then you go and say it'd be an idea for Oceancraft, so, why don't you go post those in the Oceancraft topic instead?
while I agree it's pointless it would be a nice part of the ambience of being underwater. It would feel more explore-worthy. But devs haven't gotten to the ocean yet, so, we'll see what they plan for it.

*Edit: i like that you got the scientific name for the fungi btw
