when playing multi-player on a server, chat can take up nearly half of your view, making it hard to work on your projects.
But chat is also important.
I suggest:
two separate java chat applets open when you log in to mincraft. this is actually fairly simple as far as java is concerned and should be a no-brain-er to program.
One is for trading, title at the top says "trading chat"
Two is for general talking, title at the top says 'general'.
This is very easy to program, I've done it myself many times.
And it's very much needed, as chat right now is extremely cumbersome while trying to work on your things and people keep posting, both 'do you have 'x' for 'y' and 'hey how are you?" etc...
A built-in Ignore feature would ne nice. That's all I would need to get people to stop complaining about not having enough Glowstone or Diamond Blocks.
