I always play on peaceful, simply because fighting is boring. The monsters only ever win if you are poorly prepared or don't see them coming, since their simple AI is easy to beat. The combat system needs to be more dynamic. I think that it would be cool if we could have a combat system like a hack and slash game, where you get multiple attack types and string them together into combos. Not a lot of combos, mind, just some simple, powered-up attacks or something. To fully utilize this, enemies might have to fight with weapons though. The reason this would be better imo is because it is more involved. You have to pay attention to what you are doing and actually TRY to win, instead of just clicking at the enemy a bunch. The enemies would have to be harder for this to work. Maybe the zombies could start sprinting when they got really close, and the skeleton's arrows could move quicker and be harder to dodge. Not sure what to do for the spiders though. Creepers are fine imo, since their point is to suprise you, though because of that I think that they should be really easy to kill. For this to work, health would have to be more involved, so that certain attack types or weapons could be better without being really overpowered (doing an extra heart of damage is a pretty big deal). A health bar would work, with, hell, I dunno, lets say 100 hp.
no, just no. minecraft is not a game that i want to synonomous with combos and/or special attacks, we dont need another F****** runescape.. one is bad enough.

Curse PremiumDefault:
Player health: 10
Diamond sword attack: 5
Wood sword attack: 1,5
Mob health: 10
"Improved" version:
Player health: 100
Diamond sword attack: 30
Wood sword attack: 5
Mob health: 100
Would make the game more PVP friendly, but still, might not be the best idea.
