I was just digging out a massive amount of dirt and I kept on wondering how my full my inventory was. I must say that after around an 1 hour of digging, I was tired of having to check behind me or having to open my inventory to see how much room was left. I was thinking that a small box (perhaps 1x1 in) could be on the upper left hand corner of the screen (the size of the box would change depending on how large the screen is). The box would feature a mini-inventory so that the player can just look up, take a peek, and see how much more room they have. If this box bothers people, then they should have the option to remove it. I also think that the player should be able to adjust the size of the box a bit.
Another very important part of this is that the box is not opaque... it would be semi-transparent as to not interfere with gameplay. I checked google and I didn't find this suggestion but I'm very, very sorry if it has been suggested beforehand. Thanks you! I would like to here your ideas.
I'm too lazy to build a house when I start a new world. All new worlds should have houses built and food already cooked.

The next time an authority asks me, "What could possibly have given you such a lack of respect for the value of human life?" I will respond, "Sir, have you even BEEN to the internet?"
Yeah I though that I was just being lazy uh... it's just a pain because i'm digging out a huge 30x30 place right now and I just want to do it as quickly as I can so that I can start building :tongue.gif: Sorry, it was a pretty stupid suggestion
This isn't a bad idea. Don't know why you're all jumping on the hate wagon.
A little box might be too much though. How about a x/64 label at the top of the screen showing you how many free spaces are left in your inventory.
Sadly, Notch probably has more important things to handle and it's best left to the modders. Shouldn't even be too hard, as there's mostly likely already a variable in the game for this.

...so this dome you're making is going to use more than 1800+ dirt? And besides, that's not even a full inventory.
I'm digging downwards till I hit bedrock :biggrin.gif: It's going to be my latest minecraft project. then I'm going to terraform it and make an underwater city. (And I plan to make the width and length a lot larger.) Wouldn't really be able to fit an entire dome in a 30x30x1 now would we?
