Custom skin creator that is under the skins tab in minecraft launcher for java edition.
A good bit of effort, but kinda needless if one is good-enough with GIMP.
If people genuinely have problems with GIMP texturing, maybe such program should be created, but I'm fine with what I have now.

If you're not handy with image editing programs like GIMP or Paint.NET, then there are plenty of programs out there made specifically for making Minecraft skins. As a matter of fact, there are completely in-browser website options.
Your idea would definitely be a convenience, especially for younger players and those with little computer or internet experience, but with the sheer availability of third party options, it's probably gonna be left up to the community.

We don't need that.
What we need additionally is that the elytra texture becomes part of the skin texture.
That way every player can have a unique elytra texture. But i doubt mojang will ad this becouse of capes.
Yes i can make a texturepack about elytra, but then everyone has the same elytra-texture as me, from my point of view.
I don't like that. I want leef wings but not for everyone.
