Villagers are only used for trading, and we treat them so terribly. We put them on Honey Blocks so they can't move, and shove them in boats and minecarts to transport them places. The thing is, they are all black (brown). This is can be symbolized as racist or slavery. I feel like it resembles slavery, also, which is why I propose the idea of having Black and White Villagers. You could have variety in villagers, so it doesn't seem too racist.
I think the problem is that you identify racism in game mechanics that have nothing to do with it. Honestly, people of every skin color have been enslaved at some point, so it doesn't make sense.
