as we all know, mice are small rodents that can ruin food, well on Minecraft they could possibly be able get into chests, steal food, and take it to a nest.
the nest would be randomly generated, and could be able to have five mice at the same time, if one is killed, it will eventually spawn another one. nests would be somewhat rare, about as rare as a dungeon. nests would also be able hold the items, like a chest. the nest is destructible, and when destroyed all untamed mice will be removed
mice would be able to fit through the smallest of spaces, they won't directly harm you, only steal your food so other mobs can kill you. mice will be visible inside the chests as an item, and cannot steal from the players inventory
they could be tamable by putting wheat on the ground near one, where then it would eat it. once tamed they will go to the nest and steal BACK the food. when tamed mice are idle they go to the nearest chest and live in it, until food gets stolen again
they have two and a half hearts, walk slightly slower than the player, and make squeaking noises

the mouse detector gets put in a chest, if a untamed mouse ever gets inside, it will beep three times, that the player can hear from any distance

a new world proposed by me, where you can get shrunk down to the size of a mouse, while in this world, rats and mice appear to be humanoid. the tops of trees grown here are brown
:BLOCKS:
mega rock-a rock invulnerable to explosions, and has the same "durability as clean stone
Size dirt-a type of dirt that is darker than normal dirt, and more fertile, as it grows wheat and trees faster, and when on the normal world, can grow grass quicker
Bush Wood-a new type of wood that when cocoa beans are added,and will have a chance to grow them it has a brownish, pine texture, that will not be biome compliant for leaves. the wood itself is black. crafted into normal planks
tar-a new liquid in mouse world that can be collected with a bucket, very thick and slow you down when swimming in it, it forms the oceans in mouse world. it cannot be seen through. is not affected by gravity
Compact- a new block formed by crafting a 2 by 2 grid. =size dirt [] []

ratrack- a new block like nether rack, but brown, formed in dungeons

rat teeth-items dropped by rats used to create spears
spears-a weapon that can be thrown to cause 3 and a half hearts of damage

Mouse leather-leather more durable than normal leather, is white

Humanoid mice- a passive mob that drops mouse leather leather. 10 hearts
rat person-an aggressive mob that drops rat teeth. 10 hearts: 2 hearts damage
molucreeper- an aggressive mob that is brown, similar to creepers. shoots flaming arrows 5 hearts: 1 heart damage
:FEATURES:
rat dungeons- new dungeons with rat rack in them that spawns the two aggressive mobs
oceans of tar- extremely thick oceans of tar
brown sky- a sky here that is brown, with a large sun
access- place a pressure plate of any material on a nest, and use it to teleport to mouse world

I am just a guy looking for good suggestions that are original, creative, and match the theme of Mine-craft. I have some mob ideas that I need help forming which is a community project.

They don't spoil it, they just eat it and **** in it. Which, while not spoiling, is no less disturbing.

What would this provide to our player? What improvements would be provided, is there any way to get rid of them?

How much health does a mouse have(answered below), will the player be able to see if the mouse is taking the food?
mice would be able to fit through the smallest of spaces, they won't directly harm you, only steal your food so other mobs can kill you.
Would they steal directly off of the player? If not, I would feel safer carrying food than storing it. Also, chests are sturdy, I wouldn't imagine it easy for a mouse to steal from it.

This is asking the system to remember what food is stolen and how much. This is a lot to program.

I am not partial toward this suggestion. Perhaps a bit of convincing may be in order here.

Nope, it doesn't spoil it. However it does introduce harmful bacteria that does increase the rate of spoilage. It's semantics really.
