so this is not exactly a suggestion but rather a discussion, to if this would be a good idea or etc...
Well now that caves are getting deeper to (-59?)
i was thinking, what if we merge the 3 dimensions in one for example the nether could start on - 300 or -200 and go up to - 100 or something and then the end dimension would start at let's say 600 height or something so you would have like one dimension all the 3 ones together, you would have to fly to get to the end and go deep to reach the nether. also you could still use the portals to go there and etc...
what do you think?
It could have a barrier between both dimensions and you can only access freely (without the portals) after defeating the bosses, wither and dragon. then the barriers goes down and you could acces by digging/flying so it is not given straight away for free.

Yes. it's good to bring your ideas, like This, to The FORUM (even for Vanilla miner-man crafters)
it sounds like a Good Idea, and hopefully MOJANG will listen, and take your opinions into consideration, would be helpful, too, being such an advanced suggestion in a CLASSIC pack, it's like "The Old Days", mixed with the future
sounds like a top notch idea, Man, could become it's own free to play version, if ever implemented

I don't think it's a good idea for vanilla minecraft.
But i can imagine there are more people out there, who would like to create such a world.
So let's discuss about how to maybe create a world like that on your own. Maybe using datapack and / or using modifications.
Since some snapshots for 1.16 we have the option to create custom dimensions using datapacks.
I am not good at datapacks. I merely managed to create a floating island world with all biomes.
During that time i have seen some youtubers create crazy dimensions using datapacks.
This was the feature i was most exited about.
The point is you can also manipulate the overworld dimension, which could be the key to achive your suggestion.
I have also heard about a mod, that combines the nether with the overworld, just the way you suggested.
I don't remember it's name or the y level of the borderline you need to dig down.
Then there are world generation mods.
I'm not referring to biomes o plenty & stuff. I mean those that let you choose the ores and other settings.
Jet again i can not provide you a name or mc version these mods target.
Some of them remove the build limit in hight and let you modify other generation aspects.
My guess is that you have to write a very clever datapack or make use of several mods to create a 3 in 1 dimension.
This is way over my head, but certainly possible.
My projects:
-are abandoned for now. I might pick 'em up in the future.
For now i'm working on a private modpack that suit's my own playstyle.
I am gonna stay in modded 1.12.2 untill my potato dies. No mercy! :Q
