1.) Multiplayer dungeons are dedicated servers for players who like dungeon raids. The server should be hosted with an option on the Title Screen to select and play. The servers will host 30-40 people which have a limited time to gather resources, build castle walls, and towers for defence (granted you start of with limited supllies). After time is up Monsters (creepers, spiders, zombies, skeletons, slims, including bosses, generals, Orgers, and new creatures) will start spawing in waves to knock down and kill the people inside. The boss, generals, and orgers, can knock down walls in addition to creppers. Monsters after being killed will drop food, items like swords, armor, Etc. while the players defend and rebuild. After all monsters are killed im thinking of with the update of "achievments" that you get rewarded with achievments. If players all die The server resets after so long of loseing. No server should be kept, they all reset.
2.) Player Vs. Player dungeon. same thing as above, except for its 2 teams against each other with weapons, tnt, etc, along with other monster that interfer. players have a time limit to build 2-3 Bases. After one team takes over all 3 bases for a certain time peroid the game is over. ( or capture the flag ).
3.) Dungeon Raid where players storm a castle with multiple premade rooms with various monsters in them, after all monsters are killed they have to pick a room, and fight those monsters and pick a room, and so on. Untill all players reach the end of the castle (TOP) and have to fight a boss. ( or inside a big cave )

thats a short cut answer. Mojang should be actively adding new content regardless of mods existing or not.
this does however sound a bit like zombie siege. the sooner mobs can knock down walls the sooner we can get some more interesting scenarios happening.
