1st of all if kira says that this is already done then theyd be kind of right but i mean a gnome that sets up small blocks of c4 too break through one of your walls but these are precise and only blow up a 2 by 2 block on your wall and take 20 seconds to set up and detonate also if you killed them youd get c4 which automatically sets down up to 15 pieces of red stone and you can't punch it to set it off you need to put power into it but it also does twice as much damage as tnt and you can mix it together to make bigger blocks of c4 but is limited to a certain size so please be constructive with your replies.
well i mean it could be a good idea if you just try to improve it like for an example saying that the c4 isnt a good idea but if the gnomes dug through walls to allow other things in juyst as an example
I dislike the idea. The most AI a terrain-destroying mob should ever have is a creeper.
but creepers destroy a bigger area than a gnome would and gnomes would go after doors or workbenches so that it would attack the house and be harmless to people unless you ran into their explosives when they blew up
I think that Higbeez was trying to get at a Mob idea for a creature that is attacking your base, just because its a base... And Gnomes are not known for their expertise in C4.
Gnomes
Height: 1 1/2 blocks
Health: 5 hearts (Hard mode/ Max Health)
Speed: 1.5 speed of player
Jump: .5 jump of player
Spawn: In light levels below 8 anywhere in world, except halfblocks and glass.
Drop: Moss Stone 0-3 , Iron Ingots 0-3
Trade*: Gnome Hat
*(I tacked the trade on for fun)
Gnomes are a small, humanoid looking creatures that make tunnels and small mines underground. Encountering a Gnome base is ill advised as that the Gnomes are an inventive and sometimes cunning race.
Bringing materials to help build their base or trade will gain you respect among them... However, destroying even one block placed with their threshold will be met with swift vengeance. Attacking a Gnome will bring even more suffering that just destroying its base. If you merely destroy a block, the surrounding Gnomes will attack you and chase you out. But if you kill a Gnome, they will chase you until that Gnome has been avenged.
There are ways to regain their favor, but none have been brave enough to find out what it takes.
Gnome Bases
Gnome bases look similar to dungeons in the regard that they are made of Cobblestone and Moss Stone... Leading some to believe that the dungeons were created to thwart intruders into their bases.
The tunnels in their mines are 1 by 2 blocks high, just high enough for you to squeeze through... And don't worry about breaking into their tunnels... As long as it is not Cobblestone, you will be fine. (I think.)
(I just let my mind wander... So if anyone has anything to add, go a head :biggrin.gif:)

this is bassically what i was trying too say or something similar to this
well it would make the game much more challenging because ussually your safe as soon as you get a wooden door and these gnomes would have troublebreaking through steel or diamond or gold blocks
Creating a smaller version of a Creeper plus a gang is nothing like what I posted. Tacking on a sentence saying "Thats what I was thinking..." doesn't change your idea being completely different.
If your idea was similar, I wouldn't had to add anything... I could have just said "I approve. Good job."

It's just a pointless griefer with an AI that can spawn in single player. Bad idea.

What motive do they have to blow up your stuff anyway?

Higbeez, here is a link to a wiki about Gnomes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnome
Now, let me see if I can add here:
