I got a lot of negitve comments for new ores so i came up with this idea!Mob-mappers!There are 2 kinds Hostile Mob Mappers and passive Mob-Mappers.What they do is (depending on which one they are using) they Indecate mobs.When held it shows your current chunk in a mini-map in the top-right cornor of the screen(shows area as if in sunlight) and desplays what mobs are there.Each mob has a color.Creppers Black,Skeletons Brown,Zombies Red,Spiders Orange,And slimes Blue.To craft you put iron on each left and right sides and on the bottom.Glass in the top and under the glass Sould sand for Hostile mobs and gold for passive.
Give some constructive criticism, not just no. -.-
That said, while I can see where the idea came from, it would get rid of a lot of the tension of playing on any difficulty past peaceful because mobs sneaking up on you is one of the aspects of playing. Not only that, but it'd enable someone who is mining around deep down to find out where dungeons are much too easily. Part of the game is exploration, and having any sort of detector would, quite frankly, end up diminishing the game more than helping it.
That said, the idea of a map, period, might fly- God knows the number of times that I've lost track of my home while exploring... >_>;

<Pluecherry777>: I still think its funny that in 5 months, a group of modders made a mod thats actually better than a game thats been around for 2 years...
Please refer to the stickies at the top of the page. Also, this would completely take out the horror/suprising aspects of the game. I dont want a map of mobs so I can be like "HERP DERP NO MOBS ARE TEH SNEAKING UP ON MEEHHH!!!!" It would ruin the gameplay. Might just as well play on peaceful.
