Okay so, i was thinking about an alternative way to enter the Nether.
How about removing Bedrock and instead just place the Nether under the world.
Now, the question you might ask me is: but what about the Bedrock below the Nether?!
How about removing it as well, and just add stone and other blocks in there, if you dig long enough you actually get to the other part of the Minecraft world, this would be nice, cool and realistic.
What do you think? ^^

Umm no. This defeats the purpose of the nether. This will also defeats its purpose as a means of fast travel.

How?
The world is infinite in scope. How will you realistically get to the other side of the world that has no size? based per chunk is not a good method.
