Mirrors would be a very helpful object for people trying to limit torch usage.
They can light up caves if you place them correctly, for example:
You can put 1 block of lava behind some glass, and you can reflect the light all around your mine/cave/house, well until the light dims out.
Logic:
The light level shining on the mirror is transmitted 90 Degrees (if its a slant mirror) and shines that light on the farthest block away, but it takes away 1 light level.
Example:
= Mirror = Light (level 15) Light (Level 14)

Mirrors can be constructed like this:
= Mirror x2
They act like signs , facing the player as best they can, but only have 45 Degree increments.
I think that they should be able to change thier angle with redstone:

I don't think you understand how light works in minecraft...

= Mirror 90 degree
[] = 180 degree mirrror
These two would bounce the light back toward it source...
Mirrors were suggested in my Smart List @ viewtopic.php?f=1&t=158706
They are used for another way to power objects with redstone.

I do. Its the light level that its on, depending on the way its facing.

=Source Lv 15, =Lv 14, =Lv 13, =Tranperant block Lv 12, =Lv 11, =Lv 10, =Lv 9
Where Lv= Light level for that block.

By your logic shouldn't the Lv 5 block become Lv 13?

And so on.
Burning:
If 3 mirrors are focused on a block, it ignites on fire. There may be a "lens block" to focus it, but its is mostly about mirrors.
Example:
Start:

Finish:

If the surface of the block the mirror is pointing at is brighter than the mirror's emitting light, it wont override it.

Any ideas?
