(This idea works best in SMP) I have a cool idea for Minecraft where you can toss and catch a football. The way to make a football is leather on the up middle, down middle, right middle, left middle, and string in the middle. Now you made the football.Time to throw and catch. When you have the ball in hand, right - click to throw. When you're about to throw, there's a meter to see how many blocks you want to throw. There's easy, which is 3 blocks, medium which is 6,then hard, which is 10 blocks, and anything in between. When you don't have the ball in hand, you got to catch, by right - clicking at the ball. So now,you can play a game of football in Minecraft. Leave suggestions to help it make it a better idea. Thanks for your help.
I know Wikkipedia cops flack for being unreliable but this link looks legit enough to make you eat your words, the ancient games and Medieval part more specifically.
However I don't like the idea of football in Minecraft but the reasons are purely based on my interests and not a belief that it wouldn't enrich the game.
I like it, although it needs alot more thought put into it. By the way minecraft is not medieval, it is beyond time and space into somewhere we call...... the twilight zone.
I'd prefer football, and when I say football, I mean soccer. I love football (the american kind) but it seems glitchy to me. With a soccer ball though you move up to it and touch it and it moves a few blocks depending on how fast you were moving.

As for idea, ok, might be interesting to see sports besides spleef.
Edit:
Just imagined someone in SSP trying to play with a creeper, lol.
which by the way takes place in a medieval time period
how many times must people be told!
