Say you got really injured by a zombie mob. your character can't be walking around like nothing happened! Damage Levels could be added to the new stat system notch is working on. There are 4 levels and I will describe them:
Healthy is the first level, everything is at normal but your character breaks blocks slightly faster than the current rate. This ranges from 10 hearts to 8 hearts.
Injured is the second level, he walks weird like he sprained his ankle or something, has scratches and burns, but nothing so fatal...yet. The BBR(break block rate) is at the current rate in the game now. Ranges from 7.5 hearts to 5 hearts.
Serious is the third level, he sort of limps and has a mixture of deep wounds, second degree burns and scratches. The BBR is slightly slower than the current rate in the game. Ranges from 4.5 hearts to 3 hearts.
Finally Critical is the last and final injury level, he's covered in fatal wounds, tries to walk but ends up falling occasionally. The BBR is significantly slower than the current rate in the game.
PLEASE COMMENT AND DON'T LET THIS GET BURIED. AND DON'T SAY ANYTHING LIKE "IT'S TOO ANNOYING" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT
Once I figure out what a break block rating is I'll form an opinion.
But if you are pitching the idea that injuries gimp you for some non existent hardcore mode. I say why not so long as you keep it out of my carebear mode.
BBR is a rhythm video game where you have to coordinate your feet on a large floor pad with given instructions on screen.
IT may also be - the rate at which you break a block with your tools.
Wait... is there a bad DDR knockoff flying about is there... lol
TY for informing me as to what BBR is. Idea still makes sense for a hardcore mode, give you more incentive to heal and not just continue on knowing you'll respawn.

Anywhere else, IT'S TOO ****ING ANNOYING.
:wink.gif: Mission accomplished.
Realism mode could work with this.
Reason: Mobs
This would basically be a death sentence for newer players and they will stop playing.

Quite true. I forgot there are mobs faster than the zombie for a second.
