I can't walk through a village without having to turn around and find the cats that have hopped on things they refuse to get off of. Even with the zipping to me when I'm far away. I'll, at most have 2/4 cats when running through a village, and often times I'll be outside heading home to drop them off, and I'll have no cats at all, having to go on a dang goose hunt to find my cats.
Stack furnaces and chests on top of each other or place slabs above them.
Slab, stair, fence post or trapdoor are not full blocks and don't block chests below them.

Totalitarian architecture. Angular, defensible masonry over sleek, sloped carpentry.
Taking it slow. Provoking into attack typically does better rushing.
Underground engineering. Well-lit tunnels are much safer and often cheaper than any surface construct.

Farmability. One of primary concerns relating to any feature.
Practical mobs. No annoyances taking up space and processor power.
Generalism and simplicity. Overly complicated and specialized concepts hardly ever come into fruition.
On the one hand I wouldn't mind if there was more incentive to hunt down a cat than scaring off creepers, and little else. ...On the other hand, being a dog person, I guess it kind of figures that they're sort of annoying. If anything, it might be amusing if they were somehow made more unhelpful.

I'm not talking about at home, they don't bother me there as I have them spread out and sitting down, it's gathering cats from villages and trying to get them home, they get stuck on beds and chests and don't warp to me when I've left the town, super annoying to have to track them down so I can take them back home.

I also wouldn't mind, they're real helpful when I'm making things in survival and I don't want creepers anywhere near what I'm making. But, for how feisty real cats are, I'm surprised they don't attack creepers tbh. Also, wanting them to make different skins for dogs. That'd be mint

Cats generate naturally around villages, you can turn one into your headquarters, tame a few that spawn naturally and breed more.
And I don't understand how they are getting on the chests or beds when they are in the houses, and you are just walking around...
I never had a problem with cats sprinting into my villager barracks out of nowhere.
And you can always move them at night, when all doors are closed and beds are occupied for the most part.

I have a home base relatively close to a village already, but I have an obsession with cats and when I see one in a village, I need to have it. I already have like, 14 cats at my base.
I feel like waiting until night time to move cats wastes even more time than just going back and finding them. To add; I've found 3 cats on top of a bed laying down, with the bed occupied.

I agree. Its a cute feature but it can be annoying

Yes, I totally agree with you, it's pretty annoying. And this goose...
