ok i think that notch needs to actually buy some of the mods people are making and put them in the game. im talking about the mods that are actually vary nice ideas and not the small mods that people can choose to download. things like the Aether, ocean craft things that look like they would actually be part of the game.people work hard on these mods and i think that they should be part of the game.both of thees mods are under development right now but should be out soon. this also gives people a reason to make more amazing mods.
He doesn't even need to "buy" them either he could legaly copypasta them directly giving no credit or consent. Sure the implications of this would lead the mod community to not develop any more cool mods and a tarnished reputation but he could still do it.
As for the OP I sort of agree. If a certain mod is really well made, popular and fits with the minecraft universe (whatever that is). Why not try and contact the modder and retrofit it to the original game.
I say "why not" to OP's idea (if you can call it that) So long as there is a strict criteria and evaluation of the mods in question as to whether they are universally fun for all players and fit in with Minecrafts image.

Yeah I'm afraid this has been suggested dozens of times.
Mojang, in fact, has bought or acquired permissions/rights to some mod content. Why more things like the allocator and firehazurd's troll mob and mo creatures haven't been top of the list, however, is not something I fathom presently.
