Slimeballs are useless drops from slimes, but I have an idea what they could be used for.
If you put 1 slimeball in each spot on the 3x3 crafting grid, you get a slime block. When stepped on, the slime block bounces you a few times. If you jump on it, it will bounce you twice the height of a jump a few times, then you'll stop bouncing. It is the size of any block. Also, it is semi translucent, so you can see through it, but it will have a greenish tint. It also bounces mobs. But when a slime touches it, they fuse together and form a slime larger than a normal slime. You can't place torches on it, and it will fall, just like a sand or gravel block. Hopefully nobody came up with this idea yet...
I like this idea, but I think that 2x the jump height is very short, thats only 2 blocks. I think maybe 6 or 7 blocks would be nice, then slowly going from 7 - 6 per jump and 6 -5 per jump and so on until you hit 0.

That's a good idea, but you would take damage if you jump off it from high enough. Maybe 4 blocks is reasonable
I really like the idea because someone else posted this before. You PHAIL!

I am just a guy looking for good suggestions that are original, creative, and match the theme of Mine-craft. I have some mob ideas that I need help forming which is a community project.
Otherwise, I don't want huge updates to the slimes. I like slime blocks, but just as a green slimy block that doesn't do anything special, or creating a 9x9 slimeball block to create a small pet slime that doesn't disappear until killed.

I posted all of this on the other page as well.
This wouldn't be an update on slimes. It's only a new crafting recipe to form a new block that you can bounce on.
